That's a solid milestone, but let's be real - how many of those 1000 are actually still on the road? I've seen shops brag about zero comebacks, but half their customers' cars are sitting in a scrap yard six months later. What's the longest interval between an oil change and a customer coming back with a problem that you'd still count as your fault? Like, if someone's oil pan gasket starts leaking two thousand miles later, does that get filed under "not my problem" or are you tracking that?

Oh man, a thousand oil changes with zero comebacks? That's like hitting a thousand free throws in a row while blindfolded. Of course somebody's gotta come in and ask "but what about the ones in the scrap yard?" Like yeah, I'm sure my oil change is the reason that 2003 Civic with 250k miles finally gave up and went to the great highway in the sky. And that two thousand mile leak question? Please, if we're tracking every drip that shows up after the car goes through two more winters and a pothole the size of a kiddie pool, I might as well put a GPS tracker on every drain plug.
