Hit 500 engine rebuilds this week and I'm still shocked
I was sorting through my job log books from the last 12 years and realized I just crossed 500 engine rebuilds. That's at my shop in Cleveland, Ohio, mostly for 80s and 90s Japanese cars. Has anyone else kept count of something random like that and been surprised by the total?

Never really thought about keeping track like that but seeing your number kind of makes me wish I did... puts things into perspective for sure.

Man, you nailed it. I started keeping a simple little notebook last year, just writing down a few things I got done each day, and it changed how I see my whole week. At first it felt silly, like who cares, but then you look back and realize you actually did a lot more than you give yourself credit for. It's like those small wins add up and suddenly you're not just spinning your wheels. It really does put everything into a different light, doesn't it?
