A loose lug nut sent a wheel bouncing down I-35 last Thursday

Customer came in for a rotation and I found the wheel barely hanging on, like five of the six studs were finger tight. I got it off before it flew, but now I torque every lug twice and mark the nut with a paint pen, anybody else do that or am I just paranoid now?
