Worst week I ever had on the floor started with a misread paint code on a 2023 Honda Civic

Customer brought in a pearl white Civic for bumper repair, I mixed the paint based on the code under the hood, and after spraying it turned out the driver's side door had been resprayed by a previous shop using a completely different variant, so I had to strip everything and start over with a tint match that took three tries and cost me an extra five hours of labor anybody else run into two different whites on the same car like that?

Two different whites on one car? I'd have just walked out and let the car sort itself out.

Whoa, hold up - that driver's side door was already resprayed before you even touched it? That's the kind of hidden surprise that makes you want to just walk away for a minute. In my experience, those mismatched panels from other shops are the absolute worst to deal with, especially on pearl whites.
