Wasted $400 on a fancy paint gun and got worse results than my old $90 one
I bought a top of the line Iwata spray gun thinking it would make my clear coats flawless, but after 3 jobs I was fighting orange peel and runs worse than ever. Switched back to my old Devilbiss and suddenly everything lays down perfect. Anyone else find that expensive gear doesn't always mean better results?

Sometimes you just gotta stick with what knows how to spray.

I read somewhere that a lot of the expensive guns are made for production shops with perfect air setups, not for guys like us working in a garage. The cheaper ones seem to be built tougher and are way more forgiving when your air pressure or viscosity is slightly off. It's honestly wild how a tool that costs half as much can just click better with your technique.
