Switched to a different filler and it cured way too fast

I used to swear by the same brand of body filler for years, but last week I grabbed a cheaper one from the auto store. It kicked off in under 3 minutes and I had to sand half the panel down again. Anyone else have a brand surprise them like that?

3 minutes is rough. I grabbed a quart of Rage Gold last winter and it set up on me in about 4 minutes flat while I was trying to feather it out on a fender. Had to mix smaller batches after that and work faster. The cheap stuff always seems to have either too much or too little hardener in it from the factory.
