Spent 4 hours chasing a door gap that was off by 3mm on a 2020 Civic

Measured, remeasured, adjusted hinges, still couldn't get the gap even across the front edge. Turns out the fender bracket was bent 2mm from a minor front-end hit. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something this simple?

dude this is literally me with my 2018 hatchback last month. spent like 3 hours messing with the passenger door alignment and getting mad at the weatherstrip because it looked uneven. turns out the fender was tweaked too from when the previous owner clipped a curb. i feel your pain so hard, 3mm is basically invisible to anyone else but it bugs us perfectionists forever.
