Spent $2,800 on a used downdraft booth last fall, best gamble I ever made

Bought it from a shop going out of business in Dayton, had to rewire the exhaust fan myself. Between the overspray I dont breathe and the faster dry times, it paid for itself by March. Anybody else ever buy big used equipment on a hunch?

Grabbed a used powder coating oven off a guy who was retiring, didn't even test it before handing over cash. Turns out the temp sensor was off by 50 degrees, so my first few batches came out looking like melted crayons. Fixed it with a $20 probe from Amazon and now it's the most reliable thing in my shop, go figure.
