PSA: cheap seam sealer vs the good stuff, my floor pan regrets
That $12 seam sealer I grabbed at the parts store last summer cracked out of every joint on this 2004 Tacoma frame repair, while the $38 3M stuff I swapped to after 3 days of redoing work has held through 2 salt slush winters in Buffalo, so what are you guys using that actually sticks around?

Oh buddy, you and me both learned that lesson the hard way. I bought the cheap stuff thinking I was being smart with my money, and it was flaking off faster than a sunburn in July. That $12 tube is basically just fancy caulk that wants to go back to being liquid every time winter shows up. Meanwhile the 3M stuff is like it got married to the metal, it ain't going anywhere. I even had a buddy try to save a few bucks with the store brand and his floor pan sounded like a maraca after one season. Sometimes you just gotta pay for the good glue, I guess.
