Just read that some shops are charging over $200 an hour for paint labor now

Saw that in a trade mag at the supply house yesterday. Makes me think about how we used to mix paint in the back with a stick. Anyone else seeing rates like that in their area?

Just saw that and honestly it makes me feel sick. I mean for that price they better be painting with gold leaf and unicorn tears. Remember when a paint job was one of the cheaper things you could get done on a car? Now it's like financing a second mortgage just to fix a fender. Guess the stick mixing days are long gone.

My uncle paid 8 grand for a respray on his old truck last year and they still got orange peel in the clear coat.
