Had a job at a Ford dealership last year that made me stop using body filler on plastic bumpers
Guy brought in a 2019 F-150 with a cracked rear bumper. Old crew lead said fill it, sand it, paint it. I did it his way. Two months later the crack came back through the paint. Customer was pissed. Now I only replace plastic bumpers or use plastic welding rods. Has anyone else had filler fail on you like that?

Ever tried plastic welding instead of filler? I had the same thing happen on a Chevy Silverado bumper a few years back and learned the hard way too. Now I hit the back side with a cheap plastic welder from Harbor Freight before I even touch the surface. It takes an extra 20 minutes but I haven't had a single crack come back since. That filler just doesn't flex with the plastic when the bumper gets hit or even in hot weather.
