Had a customer's quarter panel peel mid-spray in Phoenix last July because I skimped on wax and grease remover

Switched to a $40 bottle of Prep-All after that and haven't had a single fisheye since - anyone else learned that lesson the hard way?

@ellis.felix honestly it depends on the shortcut. Some of them are just dumb risks but others are harmless. A guy I used to work with tried cutting through a construction site to save 5 minutes. He ended up with a boot full of wet concrete and had to explain it to his boss. Probably not worth the hassle.
