Guy at the parts counter in Reno laughed at me for blocking panels before primer, and I still think he's wrong
Stopped by a supply shop on 4th Street in Reno about 6 months ago for a gallon of primer and got into it with the counter guy, Dave, when he saw my blocking board in the truck. He swore up and down you do all your hammer and dolly work dry, then block it out, and only touch sandpaper after sealer goes on. I've been doing a guide coat and a quick 180 pass before primer for 15 years and my comeback rate says it works fine. Curious if anyone else here blocks before primer or if I'm really the odd one out like Dave claims.
