Ever notice how clear coat failure shows up differently under LED shop lights?

Used to just sand and reshoot whatever looked dull in the sun, but after I swapped my bay to LEDs last fall I started catching the faint cloudy patches on white cars that are invisible in the old fluorescents, am I the only one chasing ghosts at 7pm?

My neighbor's the same way with his telescope. He bought one of those fancy light pollution filters and suddenly started seeing stars he'd missed for years. It makes me wonder how much we've been missing because we just accepted the old lights as good enough.
