Dropped $600 on a spot weld drill kit and it was the wrong move for panel work
Back in 2019 I ran a small shop outside of Modesto and let a tool truck guy talk me into a $600 spot weld drill kit. He swore it would cut my panel removal time in half on quarter panels and door skins. I used it on two jobs and the bits went dull so fast it was not even funny, and it left a dent in the outer skin every single time. My old $40 Blair cutter did the same job cleaner with way less fuss. Ended up selling the kit to a buddy for $150 just to get it out of my box. Any of you still running a drill setup for spot welds or did you switch to something else?
