Blown $200 on a cheap paint booth filter pack off eBay

I mean, it clogged up after three panels on a basic Accord respray and I had to redo everything. Anyone else learned the hard way that bargain filters just don't cut it for airflow?

Read something similar on a detailing forum a while back about how cheap filters trap the big stuff but let the fine dust through. That dust can end up settling on your wet paint and ruin the finish. Sounds like your eBay pack did the same thing - let enough through to cause problems while clogging up fast. I picked up a Donaldson filter setup after seeing a video where a shop owner tested airflow with a manometer. He said a quality filter might cost double but lasts ten times longer and keeps the booth cleaner. Makes sense to me now after hearing your story.

Exactly that. I switched to Donaldson after ruining a job with cheap filters and the difference was night and day. Never looked back.
