A guy in Dallas paid me $40 just to fix a sagging bumper with a heat gun and a bucket of ice water
Customer pulls up in a beat up Camry last Saturday with the front bumper popped off its clips on one side. He wanted a full replacement quote, around $600 with paint. I told him to give me ten minutes first. I hit the sagging spot with a heat gun until it went soft, then dumped ice water on it while pushing it back into shape. The clips grabbed, the gap closed up, and he stood there staring like I pulled a rabbit out of a hat. He handed me two twenties on the spot and drove off happy. Anyone else keep a heat gun and a cooler of ice in the bay for quick saves like this?
