We found a $25 mobile locksmith off Moreland Ave at 11pm and I still can't believe it worked
So three weeks ago my wife locked us out of the house around 11pm, keys were inside on the hook, both of us standing on the porch in the cold. I called two of the big name locksmith places and one quoted me $95 just to show up plus labor, the other said 90 minutes minimum. Then our neighbor across the street said he'd used a guy named Marcus who runs a van out of the Edgewood shopping center area, cash only, no website. He came in about 20 minutes, popped the lock in maybe 4 minutes with a shim tool, charged us $25 flat and didn't even want a tip. I asked him why so cheap and he said he mostly does property managers around the Eastside and the residential calls are just gravy. I got his number saved in my phone now and gave it to two people on my street already. Does anyone else have a go to local locksmith they trust, or a plumber or electrician like that, who isn't on Google and just works off word of mouth?
