PSA: Found out my go to plumber was charging me a $75 trip fee I never agreed to
Last month my water heater started leaking in my garage, so I called the same plumber I have used for 3 years. When the bill came it was $285 for a 20 minute fix, and I finally looked close at the line items instead of just paying it. There was a $75 trip fee baked in, plus a $40 after hours charge even though it was 2pm on a Tuesday. I called and asked about it and they just took it off, which made me wonder how many other people never say a word. Anyone got a plumber in the Decatur area who gives you the price up front before they roll out?
