Yeah that totally makes sense, three people leaving in just four months is a lot for a small department like code enforcement. Bet the remaining inspectors are totally swamped trying to cover the whole county.

Oh man you nailed it. I used to work in a county office that had four people total and when two left in three months we were drowning. They just kept piling on the work like we could magically absorb it all. Morale went straight down the toilet because you're busting your butt every day and still falling behind on complaints. It's like management doesn't get that you can't just stretch a tiny team to cover a whole county without burning everybody out.
