Told my wife I'd fix the gutters myself back in July... yeah that didn't happen

I was dead set on doing our gutter cleaning myself to save $150. Got the ladder out last Saturday morning and realized the back section near the chimney is way too steep for me to feel safe on that extension ladder. My neighbor Dave saw me struggling and offered to split the cost of a gutter guard install with his guy. We ended up paying $200 each and the dude had it done in 3 hours. Has anyone else caved and paid for something they swore they'd DIY?

Ugh, that "going to fix it myself" guilt is so real. I think we've all been there where the ladder just doesn't feel safe and you end up calling in the pros anyway. Did you at least feel relieved once Dave's guy was done?
