The $85 termite inspection I almost skipped paid off twice
Last fall I figured I'd just renew my bond and skip the annual inspection since I hadn't seen any issues in 5 years. My neighbor down in East Atlanta got hit with drywood termites last summer, so I caved and paid $85 to have a guy come out. He found a small mud tube running up the back foundation near the water meter, nothing I would've spotted because a bush was hiding it. That $85 saved me from what he quoted as a $3,500 tenting job. Anyone else regret waiting years to spend a couple bucks on prevention? Has anyone else dealt with a hidden termite find like that?
