My neighbor on Gilbert St said my yard makes the block look bad, and now I can't unsee it
I was out front pulling weeds on Sunday when my neighbor walked over and told me my yard was bringing down everyone else's home value on the street. He wasn't mean about it, just said it plain, and it has been stuck in my head for four days now. We have lived here six years and I guess I just got used to the patchy grass and the overgrown hedge on the side. Now I'm getting quotes for sod and it looks like $2,800 for the front alone, which feels insane. Do you think a neighbor's opinion is worth spending that kind of money, or should I just keep it mowed and move on?
