I finally looked up how much my county charges in late property tax fees and it's way less than I feared

Filed my Fulton County property tax payment two days late this month and spent the whole week stressing about it. Finally pulled up the county tax commissioner site and the late fee is just 1% per month, so on my $3,100 bill that's about $31 for the first month. I had it in my head it would be some huge penalty or that a lien would show up. Turns out the real problem would only start if I sat on it for months, not days. Still annoyed at myself, but honestly the relief was worth the late night googling. Does anyone know if the county sends a second notice before it gets serious, or do you just have to keep checking the portal?
