The moon shot that clicked after I ditched my tripod
I kept getting blurry shots of the moon with my 200mm lens, even on a clear night in Austin. Tried a remote shutter, mirror lockup, all the usual stuff, still soft. Finally I braced the lens against a fence post and used a 2-second delay, handheld but super stable. The difference was night and day, got a crater detail shot at ISO 400 that I could never do before. Anyone else have luck with improvised bracing instead of a tripod?
