That planet photo from 10 years ago vs last week blew my mind

I was looking at old posts in here from 2015 and found a shot of Jupiter someone took with a 4 inch scope, then compared it to a picture from last week with modern stacking software on the same size scope. The detail in the newer shot is way sharper, like going from a flip phone camera to a DSLR. Has anyone else noticed a big jump in image quality over the last decade even without upgrading the telescope itself?

Wait, is this the same Jupiter photo that was floating around on the old forum from that guy in Nebraska? I remember trying to stack images on my old laptop back then and it would freeze for like 10 minutes just to spit out some blurry mess. Now my phone can probably do better in 30 seconds, which is kinda crazy when you think about it.
