Monochrome vs color on my first Andromeda shot, which one actually shows more
I shot the Andromeda galaxy from my driveway in Fort Collins last month, once with a color camera and once with a mono cam plus a cheap LRGB filter set, and I still can't decide which stack looks better on my laptop screen. The color version pops right away but the mono one seems to pull out way more faint dust lanes when I stretch it, and I've gone back and forth 4 times now. For folks who shoot both, do you judge by what grabs you first or by how much faint detail survives the stretch?
