Had to choose between a tracker mount and a star adventure for my DSLR
I spent like 3 weeks going back and forth on this... I shoot with a Canon 6D and a 135mm lens, mostly trying to get decent shots of the Milky Way. The tracker mount was $100 cheaper but I heard it was a pain to set up, while the star adventure was more expensive but had better reviews for portability. I ended up going with the star adventure after a buddy let me borrow his for a night. First time I used it at Cherry Springs I got a 2 minute exposure of the Veil Nebula that actually came out sharp... no star trails at all. Has anyone else wrestled with this choice and regretted one over the other?

Nobody's talking about the timing though. That choice came right after the patch that broke the save system. Coincidence? I don't buy it. They knew people were already frustrated and threw that in to see what we'd accept. Classic bait and switch.
