Had my telescope tripod collapse at 2am in my backyard last night

I was finally getting a clear shot of Jupiter's bands, and the whole thing just buckled. Turns out I forgot to tighten one leg lock after my neighbor's cat ran through the yard. Has anyone else had a setup fail at the worst possible moment?

Ugh, that's brutal. A buddy of mine had his whole rig fall over once because he set it up on a slight slope without leveling it. He was trying to get a timelapse of the moon rising and it just tipped sideways in the middle of it. The camera and scope hit the concrete patio, scratched the lens and bent the finder scope bracket. He didn't get a single usable frame.
