Drove 90 minutes to a dark sky spot near Payson and forgot the tripod plate
Set the DSLR on a cooler lid tilted with a rock and got 40 minutes of streaky star trails instead of the Milky Way shot, so has anyone rigged a stable mount out of random gear when the plate gets left at home?
