I just read that some Roman concrete gets STRONGER in seawater

Found this in a journal article about the harbor at Caesarea. They said it's because of a volcanic ash mix that reacts with salt water over centuries. Has anyone else come across a building material that defies logic like that?

Read about that a few years back and it still blows my mind. Makes our modern stuff look pretty weak by comparison. The idea that we lost a recipe for concrete that good is just sad. Really makes you wonder what else we've forgotten how to build.
