Hit 300 arrowheads in my local creek and I'm officially worried

I've been surface hunting this one spot in the Little Miami River valley for about 10 years now. Last weekend I finally passed the 300 mark on points, and that number surprised me way more than I expected. The thing is, I'm pulling up mostly woodland period stuff, but the rate I'm finding them has dropped off hard in the last 2 years. I used to grab 15-20 per season, and now I'm lucky to get 5 or 6. It makes me wonder if amateur collectors like me are stripping sites faster than the state realizes. Has anyone else seen their local creek beds get noticeably picked over in the last decade?

Wait are you tracking exact numbers or just going by memory?

Oh totally, I'm mostly just going by memory with this stuff. My brain works like a cluttered filing cabinet (everything's in there somewhere, but good luck finding it fast). I did try keeping a notebook once, but I lost it somewhere between the couch cushions and the laundry pile, so that plan backfired. Now I just go "well, I think it was around this many" and hope nobody asks me to prove it.
