DAE think we should leave some sites completely unexcavated for future tech?
I was reading about a new ground-penetrating radar method that can map a site in days without digging, which makes me wonder if we should seal up places like the untouched sections of Pompeii until we have even better tools, or if that's just hoarding history when we could learn so much now.

Remember that shipwreck they left on the ocean floor for decades? They finally opened it and the wood just turned to dust on contact with air. Sometimes waiting is the only way to not ruin the thing you're trying to save.
