Rant: my $900 chipper shredder was the worst money I ever spent
Bought a mid-range chipper shredder from a big box store last spring for a ton of jobs clearing brush in Albany. It jammed on wet branches every single time, and the feed chute clogged so bad I spent more time poking it with a stick than actually chipping. After 4 weekends of fighting it, I sold it for $300 and went back to hauling brush to the dump with my trailer. Anyone else regret a shiny new machine and end up sticking with the old boring method?

I read where those consumer chippers only handle bone-dry wood, and wet stuff just turns them into expensive paperweights. Sounds like you found out the hard way what the manual's fine print meant.
