I laughed at tree injection treatments until my client's oak bounced back.

I always thought injecting trees for pests was a waste of money and time. After seeing a treated oak get better in one season, I was wrong to ignore it. What other new ways are we missing because they look too fancy?

Actually tree injections have been around for ages, they just look weird so people ignore them. Maybe it's just me but we miss a lot of old stuff too because it seems too simple.

Heard about using sonic pulses to scare off root parasites. Sounds like sci-fi but apparently works on some vineyards.

Sonic pulses" sounds like one of those gimmicks that would never work on a commercial scale. But the thing is, sound waves can actually mess with insect larvae in the soil, not just scare them off. It might be cheap enough to try on a small plot compared to fumigating the whole place.
