Heard a homeowner in Boise call our work 'just trimming'

It was a quick comment while I was packing up my gear after a crown clean. Made me realize we need to explain the 'why' behind every cut, not just the 'what'. How do you guys handle those casual misunderstandings about the job?

Totally agree, and @faith_torres83 is right about the "tree's resume" thing (even if it's a funny name for it). I had a client call a reduction "a little off the top" until I walked them through the storm prep reasons for each cut.

A guy on a podcast said we should give the "tree's resume" after a job. It sounds silly but explaining the health and safety reasons for each cut turns "just trimming" into a real service. People get it when you frame it as care, not just cutting.
