Had to pick between a bucket truck and a climbing setup for that old oak in West Philly last week
I went with climbing because the driveway access was too tight for a bucket, and honestly I spent 45 minutes fighting a dead hanger that would've been a 10 minute job with a lift. Anyone else regret choosing a rope over a truck when the tree just keeps throwing surprises at you?

Yeah I went climbing once on a sycamore and my throw line got tangled so bad I almost cried.

Oh man, that sycamore bark is the worst for throw lines, it's like sandpaper and glue combined! Next time try using a heavier bag, like 14 or 16 ounces, it punches through those craggy branches way better. Also, if you can, set your line from the opposite side of the tree where the bark is smoother. A little trick I learned is to tape the end of your throw line to the bag so it doesn't snag on every little bump on the way up. You'll get it sorted, just takes a couple tries to figure out that tree's personality!
