Why I love using zip ties on dishwasher drains
Most techs jump straight to replacing the pump. I found a simple clog and fixed it with a zip tie in minutes.

Oh man, that zip tie trick is genius. It reminds me of the time my kid's backpack strap snapped right before school and I MacGyvered it back together with a black zip tie. Kid rocked that look for a whole semester, lol. Those little plastic things are secretly the most useful thing in the house. I've fixed like five different things with them this year alone.

Zip ties really are lifesavers for quick fixes around the house. It's funny how we often skip buying proper parts and just use what's on hand. I've seen friends fix chair legs and garden fences with them too. There's a kind of pride in making something work with such a basic tool. It shows how creative people can be when they need to solve a problem fast.

Seriously though, is a dishwasher drain clog ever that big of a deal? Seems like a five minute job with or without the zip tie.
