The dryer that tried to eat my shoe last Tuesday

I got a call from a lady in Maplewood saying her dryer was making a thumping noise. Got there and pulled out a Nike sneaker that somehow got past the door seal and was bouncing around in the drum. Customer said her dog loves stealing shoes but she never thought he'd actually get one in the dryer. Has anyone else seen a dryer eat something that big?
