Spent 3 hours on a Samsung dryer that just needed a $2 thermal fuse because I ignored the error code and went straight for the belt.

Has anyone else gotten so used to a common failure that you skip the basic diagnostic step and waste a bunch of time?

Oh man, the classic "ignore the error code" move. I've definitely done that, convinced the computer is lying to me and my gut feeling about the belt is smarter. That thermal fuse just sits there laughing while you take the whole thing apart for no reason.

Ugh, my buddy just did the exact same thing with his dryer last week.
