Serious question, who else has dealt with a GE washer that just stops mid-cycle?

I was at a customer's house in Portland yesterday, fixing a drain issue on a GE top-loader. Got it running again, then it just stopped dead during the spin cycle, no error codes. Has anyone else seen this before and found a fix?

Man that exact thing happened to me with my GE front loader last year. Would just die mid cycle, no rhyme or reason. Drove me nuts for weeks until I traced it to a bad lid lock.

Yeah man the lid lock is always the first thing to check on those.
