One Tuesday in Tulsa I replaced three identical ice makers

Last week I had three calls in the same day, all Whirlpool side by sides, all with the same frozen inlet line. By the third one I could do the swap in 25 minutes flat, but the customer kept asking why it kept happening. I told her the real fix is checking the door seal, not the part, and she looked at me like I had two heads. Has anyone else seen a cluster of the same failure show up all at once in one zip code?

Actually the door seal won't cause a frozen inlet line, that's a defrost timer issue.
