Old trick I found for sticky fridge condenser coils

I had a 10 year old fridge that kept running hot and cycling on and off. Tried vacuuming the coils but the dust was baked on something fierce. Remembered an old timer telling me to use a dry paintbrush and a can of compressed air back in 2019 at a shop in Portland. Worked way better than anything else I tried, got the dust loose and blew it right out. Anyone else got a weird trick for crusty condenser coils?

Totally agree this works. I've found this same thing applies to like, everything that gets caked on over time. Once that dust or grime has been sitting for years, you gotta break up the crust before you can actually suck it away. It's the same principle as scrubbing a pan before you put it in the dishwasher or scraping dried mud off your boots before you hose them down. Trying to skip that step just pushes the gunk around or traps it deeper. Good on that old timer for knowing the real deal, these little mechanical shortcuts are gold.
