Just hit 500 fridge compressor swaps in my log book

It took me 12 years to get there, but seeing that number made me realize how many of those old R-134a units are still out there. Anyone else still running into those on a regular basis?

Wow, 500! That's a whole lot of loyalty to a refrigerant that's basically a ghost at this point. I swear, half my service calls are still for those things, like we're stuck in a time loop. They just keep chugging along until they don't.

Remember that old fridge at my grandma's house? Thing ran on that stuff for like 30 years, lmao. We finally had to unplug it because it started making a noise like a dying robot.
