Compare old school freon gauges to digital, never going back

I swapped my manifold gauges for a digital set last month after fighting a weird r134a charge on a freezer in Akron. The digital readout showed the exact superheat in seconds, while my old needles bounced all over and I got it wrong twice. Has anyone else made the switch and found the digital units are worth the extra $300, or do you stick with the classics?
