Am I the only one who had to choose between a full rebuild or a new control board for a 12-year-old Bosch dishwasher?

I went with the $180 board swap, but it took out a pump two months later. Anyone else had a repair domino effect on an old unit?

Sounds like you got the classic domino effect. That pump was probably on its last legs anyway.

That's the exact worry that made me pause when my own machine was that age. Did you get any kind of warranty on the new control board, or was it a straight parts-only deal? I've seen cases where a new board can send a different voltage and finally push an old, weak part over the edge.
