A tech in Cleveland told me to quit yanking drain pumps and it stuck with me
Had a guy ride along with me on a dishwasher call about a year back, and he watched me pull a drain pump out the usual way, just muscling it. He said "you're fighting the housing, not the pump" and showed me how to rock it loose with two fingers after a quarter turn. Now I do that on every pump swap and I haven't cracked a single mounting tab since. Seems obvious in hindsight, but nobody ever said it out loud to me before. What simple handling trick did somebody show you that you still use on every call?
