A talk with my sister's neighbor made me stop hating on smart washers

I was fixing her fancy new model last week, grumbling about the extra parts. She said, 'It tells me when my kid's muddy soccer uniform needs a second rinse, so I don't have to guess.' That simple line hit me. I've been so focused on the repair complexity that I missed how these features actually help people in their day. It's not just a gimmick for everyone. Has anyone else had a moment that changed their mind about a type of appliance they used to dislike?

That bit about missing how features help people is spot on. I used to think those robot vacuums were lazy until I got one for my mom with bad knees. Now I see it's not about being lazy, it's about giving people back their time.
