Warning: My curtain hanging mistake caused a compost bin leak
I was putting up new curtains and had to move my bokashi bucket to make space. I set it on a wobbly side table near a sunny window. The heat and movement made the bucket tip over, leaking fermented liquid on my floor. Now I'm scrubbing stains and rethinking where I keep my compost. Be careful with your setup during any apartment updates.

Sunny windowsills are danger zones. My kitchen tile still smells faintly of vinegar from a similar incident. I mean, you don't realize how much heat builds up until something spills. Maybe it's just me but I avoid putting any fermentation stuff on furniture now. Idk, it's easier to clean the floor than to fix stained wood.
