Unpopular opinion: bokashi bins are better than worm bins for small apartments
My worm bin got fruit flies and smelled so bad in my studio near downtown Austin that I switched to a bokashi bucket and now I just bury the fermented scraps in my friend's backyard every two weeks - has anyone else stopped dealing with worms altogether?

Yeah the smell is what got me too, fruit flies are the worst.

Wait, you bury fermented scraps in a friend's backyard? That is a level of dedication I honestly did not expect. Good on your friend for letting you do that every two weeks, most people would get weird about someone digging holes in their yard regularly.
